Sonia Duarte
Former ODI staff member: User Researcher
As User Researcher for the ODI’s R&D programme, Sonia conducted qualitative research to understand user needs in a data-driven world. She focused on topics such as data ethics and privacy, data infrastructure, data publishing and data use. She is amazed at the myriad ways in which the human brain is inspiring technology and artificial intelligence across different disciplines.
Sonia has a background in neuropsychology. Before joining the ODI, Sonia worked on applying neuroscience across clinical, educational and technological fields.
With her creative but disciplined mindset, she enjoys making big ideas come to life by translating thought into action and designing experiences for social changes.
