Rachel Wilson
Senior Developer
Rachel joined the ODI's Research & Development team in 2018 to build prototypes that explore, provoke and test ideas emerging in data sharing and access. Since joining she has found herself drawn further into the world of policy and research since her interests lie particularly in the space where the person meets the technology.
Before joining the ODI she had 15 years experience working as a software engineer for Logica, Queen Mary University, Sky and the BBC where she specialised in working with data and creating APIs. Working in the BBC’s data innovation teams she was inspired after encountering both linked-data and user-centred design. After which she co-designed and built thought-provoking prototypes, exploring how to reach people with the right information to improve their lives on their own terms; something she continues at the ODI.
