Rebecca’s role includes editing, proofreading, planning and delivering core technical reports across the ODI’s workstreams. She also contributes towards wider ODI outputs, including case studies, blogs and educational materials.
Rebecca’s background is in journalism and digital publishing. After completing an MA in Journalism at Brunel University, she worked as a freelance writer and editor, working on print and digital projects for various clients, including the NHS and The BMJ. She also worked as news and features writer on the journal Occupational Health at Work, writing about topics ranging from mental illness and addiction in healthcare professionals, to the balance between confidentiality and data sharing in healthcare.
Before then, she worked at as digital publishing manager at a national NHS organisation, where she was responsible for a suite of websites, and managed the revamp of a major patient safety website.
Rebecca likes gritty documentaries about northern England, reading Zadie Smith novels, and occasionally doing muddy obstacle courses.
