Dedicated to sustainable development, Arup is a collective of engineers, designers, consultants and experts working globally. Over more than ten years, we have worked with them to identify emerging cross-sector trends and challenges, combining expertise in the built and natural environments together with expertise in data.
In a significant milestone in 2023, our collaboration led to a roundtable discussion on net-zero data in the built environment. Hosted by the ODI’s executive chair and co-founder, Sir Nigel Shadbolt, the event brought together 30 leaders from various sectors—public, private, and not-for-profit—to deliberate pressing issues and opportunities.
Ongoing work: Net zero data sharing in the built environment
In our new, three year phase of partnership starting in 2024, we will continue to explore how we might instigate and implement whole sector and system change. It will include proactively convening industry partners and creating a roadmap for building a coalition of organisations to create an infrastructure for opening up net-zero data access.
