Lisa Allen, Director of Data and Services at the ODI, is in conversation with Volker Buscher, Global Chief Data Officer at Arup, one of the largest design and engineering companies in the world and a long-term ODI partner.

There is a vast array of sectors working within and across the built environment and the natural world, and it is rare for any of them to recognise a critical truth – data and climate strategies are increasingly connected.

The ODI and Arup are working together to bring about a new call to action to organisations across these sectors to refocus their data strategies and principles so they can achieve their net zero objectives.

Their joint research paper, Net Zero Data Strategies in the Built and Natural World, will be discussed at ODI Summit 2022: The Data Decade on 8 November 2022.

In this ODI Canalside Chat, Lisa and Volker will discuss the principles behind this project and how an organisation’s data strategy should be inextricably linked with climate change.

Convene with other leading thinkers to hear from our expert speakers, and enjoy complimentary drinks and nibbles, opportunities to network and the chance to take part in a live Q&A.

This is a free, in-person event and will be held in Kings Place, King’s Cross, London, on Thursday 1 September 2022 at 18:00.
