Prof. Simon Mayer

Simon Mayer is Professor of Interaction- and Communication-based Systems at the Institute of Computer Science of the University of St.Gallen (ICS-HSG), where he leads the Interactions Research Group. He is also Co-Director of the Future Society Hub (FuSo), HSG's cross-disciplinary hub linking computer science and law. His research looks at technology-mediated interactions in complex socio-technical systems, drawing on pervasive computing, hypermedia, human-computer interaction and embedded systems. Topics include Web-based autonomous multi-agent systems, the W3C Web of Things, human-robot interaction, explainability of cyber-physical systems, and transparency and personalisation on online platforms.
