Dr Rob Firth
Senior AI Research Scientist
Rob is a Senior AI Research Scientist at the STFC Hartree Centre. Rob works on Collaborative R&D projects with organisations of all sizes and sectors, primarily applying Large Language Models to industrial challenges. His background is in Astrophysics, and he has worked on developing capability within the Centre in the areas of Ethical AI and Responsible Research and Innovation as the chair of the Centre’s Working Group. To support this, he undertook the ODI Data Ethics Professional course in 2025.
