Precious Oritsedere

Precious Oritsedere is an experienced Frontend Engineer at the Open Data Institute (ODI), where she plays a key role in developing Solid-based applications, an open-source initiative aimed at decentralizing data and enabling better interoperability. At the ODI, Precious leads the frontend architecture and development, ensuring that the user experience is both intuitive and scalable. She also collaborates with cross-functional teams, aligning technical solutions with the organization's commitment to open data and decentralization.

Previously, Precious worked at Funtech AI, where she contributed to the development of CodeFunHouse, an AI-powered platform that gamifies coding education for children. Her expertise in Frontend Engineering and UI/UX design has been integral to her contributions to some open source projects, like the Creative Commons and various open-source initiatives.

Precious is passionate about mentoring women in tech, contributing to open-source communities, and speaking at events and meetups. She has mentored emerging developers and has led workshops to empower others in the tech community. Precious holds a diploma in Frontend Engineering from AltSchool Africa and a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies and Diplomacy from the University of Benin, Benin City, Nigeria. She is committed to creating inclusive and accessible technology that empowers individuals and communities.
