Philippa Vigano

Philippa is a geographer by trade and has a background in GIS. She manages the Innovative Technologies Programme at NatureScot. embracing new and emerging technologies to secure a nature-rich future for Scotland. NatureScot will do this by mainstreaming their use, demonstrating their leadership and working in partnership. Philippa is also delivering NatureScot’s Data Strategy. Based on 5 themes, this recognises that data is key to decision-making, action and influence. To protect, restore and value nature and to ensure that they work effectively as an organisation, they need high quality, high value data that is effectively and efficiently captured and managed and that is easily accessible to everyone.
