Scientist and Country Programmes Manager for CABI
I have over 20 years of experience in planning, implementing and evaluating training, capacity building, extension and agricultural research and development work. I have diverse experience having worked with higher agricultural learning institution, agricultural research institution and international organizations.
I am currently working for CABI’s centre in Kenya as a participatory training and research scientist. I am responsible for initiating and implementing participatory training and research activities under the different thematic areas. The nature of my assignments and responsibilities has offered me opportunities to work with diverse stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams in several African countries. In particular, I have extensive project work experiences in Ethiopia, Malawi, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda and Ghana. My research interests include: local institutions, indigenous knowledge, rural/ agricultural finance, coffee value chain, innovation systems, communication for development, participatory research and extension approaches.
