Marion is an experienced data professional and specialises in the creation of data functions, increasing data maturity & creating value from data. As a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt she adapts the concepts and processes and repurposes them for the world of data.
Currently Head of Data & Analytics at Chaucer Group (A China RE Company) she is setting up their first data and analytics Centre of Enablement. Marion is focused on harnessing the power of data to drive decisions and create opportunities for Chaucer. Using cutting edge techniques and technology she will enable Chaucer to unlock the value in their ‘hidden’ data this will combine with external sources to ensure that Chaucer are the leading specialty (re)insurance group.
Passionate about data, she is transforming data culture internationally by increasing data literacy and delivering timely analytics to the right people at the right time. Marion wants to ensure that data is processed, managed and provided in an ethical way across the data ecosystem in Chaucer Group.
Marion believes that data literacy and understanding should be a basic skill and that everyone should have both the knowledge and opportunity to use data every day to make informed decisions. During the pandemic Marion contributed to “Analytics Interpreted, A compilation of perspectives” which is a compilation of thought leadership, experienced-based perspective, and frameworks across the spectrum of relevant topics in analytics, published by Women in Analytics.
