Maria Priestly

Dr Maria Priestley is a Research Associate at King’s College London, where she developed methods for monitoring and analysing the impact of open innovation programmes aimed at data-centric companies. Maria holds a PhD in Web Science from the University of Southampton, with a thesis that explored innovation patterns in the history of Web technology. She is interested in innovation strategy and policy challenges related to data and AI technology, and has since moved on to a role at the Competition and Markets Authority. In her Fellowship, Maria focused on data quality requirements for machine leaning development pipelines.

Maria is a Research Fellow as part of our 2022–2023 fellowship scheme.
