Dr Huseyin Kir

Huseyin Kir is a Senior Software Engineer at the Open Data Institute, specialising in data engineering, knowledge graphs, and AI-driven systems. With over 15 years of experience across research and industry, he designs and delivers scalable data platforms, semantic technologies, and agentic AI solutions that enable complex data to be structured, connected, and reused. He combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership, and translating complex requirements into robust, production-grade systems. Huseyin holds a PhD in Computer Engineering and is passionate about open science, collaboration, and applying AI to real-world challenges.
