Dr Darren Temple
Senior Data Technologist
Darren is a technologist at the ODI, focussed on software development, data engineering and analysis, as well as supporting clients with their data needs. With a background in science research and startup experience as a Python programmer, he contributes to the scientific and technical goals of the ODI, and has particular interests in energy and the environment.Darren has a degree in physics from the University of Sheffield, and a PhD in plasma physics for nuclear fusion from Imperial College London. He has lived and worked in Japan and Canada, and has teaching experience from primary school level to university level.Outside of work Darren enjoys learning Japanese, game design, and owning a guitar which occasionally even gets played.
