Anastasia Shteyn
Research Fellow
Anastasia joined the Research and Development team at the ODI on a secondment from The Alan Turing Institute. After completing her secondment, which focused on Privacy Enhancing Technologies, Anastasia joined the ODI fellowship programme as an independent researcher.
Anastasia’s fellowship project brings together cross-disciplinary perspectives on the value of data privacy. By engaging with diverse academic, artistic, and cultural sources, she seeks to underline the intrinsic complexity of the question and work as a curator of ideas, stories and interpretations. In her role at the Alan Turing Institute, Anastasia focuses on building links between academic research and real-world applications of data science.
Prior to this she spent seven years in technology research and strategy consulting. Anastasia studied English Literature and International Relations at the University of Toronto.
Anastasia is interested in all things data and culture, community and society. In her spare time, she loves to be in nature and swim outdoors.
