Aditya Singh
Former ODI staff member: Researcher
Aditya Singh worked as a Researcher for the data institutions programme, where he conducted and managed research within a variety of different projects. His focus was on investigating and quantifying the economic impact of data institutions.
He is a lawyer by training, with an interest in critical approaches to data, AI ethics, and distributed architectures. He is currently a Baillie Gifford Fellow at the Edinburgh Futures Institute, pursuing a PhD with the Centre for Technomoral Futures and the Global Academy of Agriculture and Food Security at the University of Edinburgh. His research investigates models of collective data governance in agricultural data, evaluating them from a lens of power and inclusion. He holds an LLM in Law and Digital Technologies from Leiden University, the Netherlands, and BA LLB (Hons) from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore.
Prior to working with ODI, he has worked in a range of research, advocacy and consultancy roles in digital rights, platform regulation, and data governance.
