As part of the ODI’s innovation programme, we wanted to understand how open data can be used to deliver public services. We worked with four teams led by local authorities from around the UK to use open data to redesign public services to make them more efficient, innovative and effective. In this podcast, Izy Champion speaks to the four teams about the successes and challenges they faced when redesigning their services as well as their advice for anyone looking to use open data in designing and delivering services.
You can read more about the four teams through the case studies we recently published.
We are continuing this project into this year. Our aim is to work with the public sector to test and develop tools to help people use open data when delivering and designing services.
