The programme was funded with a €7.8m grant from the EU’s Horizon 2020 programme and was delivered by the seven partners, including the ODI.
ODINE supported the next generation of digital businesses and supported them to fast-track the development of their products.
The ODI’s role was to incubate and mentor startups as part of the process and to carry out an impact assessment of the project as a whole.
Our impact assessment showed that ODINE’s 57 funded companies contribute to the development of an Open Data ecosystem in Europe covering all segments of the data value chain, with a stronger presence in the more innovative components.
ODINE’s impact resulted in an estimated 110 €M of revenue between 2016–2020, and 784 jobs created.
