The Open Data Institute is a key partner in the Global Open Data for Agriculture and Nutrition (GODAN) Action initiative, which was set up in response to the global challenge of ensuring food security for the growing global population.
GODAN Action is the research and capacity building arm of the wider GODAN initiative, which seeks to support global efforts to make agricultural and nutritionally relevant data available, accessible, and usable worldwide.
For the ODI, this is one of a growing number of sector-wide initiatives, driven by theĀ ODI Strategy which includes using sector programmes to tackle social or economic problems with data, using an open approach. At the ODI, we aim to help sectors maximise value from data, using our expertise in learning, innovation and infrastructure.
