openlaws has emerged from an EU Project, co-funded by the European Commission.
The aim of this project was to create a prototype of a pan-European legal platform that involves the community and to draft a vision paper about how “Big Open Legal Data” can change the future.
openlaws was initiated by Clemens Wass and Christian Sageder, who are also the co-founders of the startup. This spin-off company is currently extending the functionality of the platform and adding further open data sources.
