Friday lunchtime lecture: Visualising the Great British Pub with OpenStreetMap data and Tableau

Friday 04 September 2015, 1:00pm - 1:00pm

The Open Data Institute, 65 Clifton Street, London, EC2A 4JE

Friday lunchtime lectures at the Open Data Institute.

You bring your lunch, we provide tea and coffee, an interesting talk, and enough time to get back to your desk.

For the first #ODIFridays of the Autumn season, we’re welcoming Sophie Sparkes and Eric Hannell from Tableau. Sophie and Eric will be looking at the institution that is the Great British Pub, mapping a dataset of pubs across the UK. A practical introduction to mapping and visualising datasets.

Eric Hannell is senior product consultant based in London. He helps anyone and everyone see and understand their data. Lover of many things including Python, public bicycle hire schemes and tacos.

Sophie Sparkes is a Data Analyst at Tableau. Every day she helps European journalists and bloggers visualise their data to tell insightful stories. She loves creating visualisations and drinking tea.
