Friday lunchtime lecture: The Tech Nation report, and the politics of making it open
Thursday 27 April 2017, 1:00pm - 1:00pm
Open Data Institute, 65 Clifton Street, London, EC2A 4JE
Friday lunchtime lectures are for everyone and are free to attend. You bring your lunch, we provide tea and coffee, an interesting talk, and enough time to get back to your desk.
The Tech Nation report is the annual state of the union on UK tech and digital industries. 2018 was a landmark year for the report, and the first time significant steps were taken to open up the data and research methods.
This lecture will highlight the political, technical and cultural changes required to open the report and the data behind it.
