Invitation to tender: OpenActive website redesign

The ODI seeks a freelance developer/designer to simplify and redevelop the OpenActive website.

Building on existing discovery work and requirements, you will work with the ODI to plan the new site layouts, define the visual identity, choose technology, build the site and migrate content where necessary.

  • Technology providers and data publishers (Sports and physical activity providers) in the public and private sector
  • Data users, startups, innovators and data aggregators

  • Sponsors, investors and board members

  • OpenActive coordination team
  • Funders
  • Press
  • Data scientists
  • General public

Intended uses

  • Communicate the aims of the initiative and how to get involved
  • Tell the ongoing OpenActive story through posts, to cover topics like news, case studies and blog editorial
  • Encourage involvement through credibility, providing a showcase and directory for all OpenActive members
  • Inspire data publishers and activity providers to publish their opportunity data, and provide them with the support to make that happen – including access to learning materials and self-service tools
  • Provide a starting point for data users and innovators looking to understand, find and use the data
  • Provide a set of resources for the OpenActive community to use
  • Provide a platform for members to sign-up and manage their own profile information
  • To act as a central platform for promoting open calls and receiving submissions
  • To act as a central feedback submission point for queries
