Silvia Cazacu

Silvia Cazacu-Bucica

Silvia Cazacu is a PhD researcher from KU Leuven, Belgium working on the topic of equitable and inclusive Data Ecosystems. She currently designs and researches a feminist data physicalisation tool for emerging interdisciplinary collaboration that builds criticality in working with data. 

Silvia has an academic background in Architecture (MArch) and Human-Computer Interaction Design (MSc) and she previously worked on applied and scientific research about participatory design of technologies for empowerment. 

During her visit to the ODI, Silvia will evaluate the impact of Datopolis – a game-based tool that aims to support critical data literacy in organisations. Her research aims to inform future approaches towards cultivating critical and inclusive data-driven initiatives.
