The ODI has launched a new partnership with ITV Data Governance to train around 500 ITV staff over the next three years. ITV is transforming how it works with data and is moving at pace to be a digital and data-led organisation. It is also in the midst of an accelerated digital transformation strategy, which will ultimately change the way that its viewers watch content. As data scales in volume and sophistication throughout ITV, good data governance is of paramount importance to support teams in being autonomous and self-sufficient when using data. Data will be at the heart of everything ITV does, embedded into its DNA alongside creativity. To support its staff to feel confident and comfortable when using data, ITV has partnered with us to deliver a best-in-class learning programme to help embed a positive data culture at ITV. And, as part of ITV’s commitment to responsible governance, it is offering the opportunity to the wider data community the re-use the content created by the ODI and will also encourage and increase the adoption of good data governance and fuller participation in the ethical use of data. Ben Timney, Head of Learning at the ODI, said:
We are really excited about the work we will be creating for ITV. We will be designing and building six modules of online learning content to train ITV staff on the importance of data governance. It's going to be a multimedia-rich experience that we aim to provide to up to 500 learners over the next three years.
